"My son recently started therapeutic riding sessions at Bonnie Riley's therapeutic riding center. He was taken there weekly by a caregiver. The family finally got to attend a session and much to our surprise my son was independent, actually directing and managing the horse independently with verbal instructions. It was so unbelievable that his father took pictures so others would believe us.

After years of going elsewhere for riding sessions, this is the first time we have seen him make anywhere near this progress. He is using muscles he never knew he had, and his pride in himself is outstanding, all of this in only 6 sessions of riding.

How wonderful to see such progress in such a short period of time. We couldn't be happier and absolutely recommend this therapy for anyone with disabilities."

"When my son Isiah was 5 years old he was diagnosed with partial complex seizures, ADHD, and Tourette tics. On August of 2011 he had an MRI of his brain to check for any damage due to his increasing seizures, upon this test there was a tumor that was found underneath his brain. Since then he has had many headaches that has often made him incapable of even doing daily functions. He has had numerous CT scans and MRI's to constantly monitor the growth because we were told that surgery would be very risky due to the location of the tumor. This past year he has been going to Riley Equine Center for horse riding. Since then I have seen a change in my son's attitude every Saturday when it comes time for him to ride. At first he was very scared and didn't even want to go as he has anxiety at times about leaving the house. Now my son looks so forward to riding, and I love it when he boasts about being able to control the horse all by himself. I feel it has raised his confidence in himself; I love seeing my son happy and enjoy something.

It is hard as parent to watch your child have to go to the Doctor all the time to be stuck with needles constantly, to have to take medicine all the time, to know he feels he is different. But this all doesn't matter when he is there and riding; he is just a little boy who is having the time of his life. I am so thankful for Riley Equine Center and for what they are doing for him. I am thankful that through all of the difficult things my son has had to face that the horse riding is there to make him smile and laugh. My son who is now 8 years old, and as for his last MRI which was done on Nov 20th 2012 his neurosurgeon informed us that his tumor is actually getting smaller. No medicine or doctor did that, it was the good Lord that answered our prayers."

"Bonnie, I want to thank you for our visit last Saturday. I was so proud and excited to see Elena being lead by Dave around the arena and then wanting to set on every horse. I felt such a calm and relaxed atmosphere the moment we opened the door. Everyone offered greetings and words of encouragement, and they meant it, very genuine. I've told everyone I have talked to about our experience. I had big plans of working my dogs off horseback that afternoon, but when I got there I left the dogs in the truck and just rode the horse over our training grounds and thought about the day's events. The dogs didn't miss out, I worked them when I got home and we had a great training session the next morning. I'm glad we came out and wished we would have done it months ago. You have a very unique thing going. Thanks again!"
