"Horse riding is way more than just getting on an animal and trotting around,
it’s a bond you have to form with your horse or it isn’t really riding at all."
"We couldn't do it without them!"
We are fortunate to have been approved by the Boonville School District to offer credit for A+ hours. These students are “the cream of the crop,” and are wonderful help. We have also enlisted some of their parents who have been invaluable to us. Cream of the crop students often have cream of the crop parents.
We also have some students from MIZZOU working on degrees such as physical and occupational therapy, social services, and agriculture. It’s interesting how fields so varied all apply.
We have FFA folks working on projects as well as Boy Scouts working on merit badges.
We have many folks from the community who are just interested in what we’re doing. They love horses and/or they love kids, or they’re just wonderful, generous people who like to help.
What warms our hearts is that more often than not, the volunteers who come to fulfill some requirement continue to help long after their required hours are satisfied. That indicates to us that we must be doing something right.
But, we can always use more volunteers!! If this sounds like something you would love to be a part of, please Contact Us for more information! You can also download, fill out, and bring with you the following forms:

Derek was a kind, loving, caring, energetic young man.
He loved people and animals.
Derek was a go-getter, a hard working man.
He always knew what needed to be done without anyone asking.
He was dependable. Derek was loved by EVERYONE that crossed his path, especially at Riley Equine Center, where he loved to be at every day.
He will be so missed by so many people.
His friends will always have this young man in their hearts and memories forever.
Rest in peace, Derek.
We all love you and will miss you tremendously.
